While working on next upcoming commercial album I enjoy working on free music releases whenever I have time for it.
Sometimes the free music comes in cooperation with other musicians, sometimes it relates to something appealing my attention. So with painter and myspace friend Sarah Giannobile. Sarah is an abstract painter and a friend on my personal myspace site.
At myspace she is presenting her art work and I felt immediately attracted to her tremendous creativity.
She attached a pair of her paintings on her comments which can be done at myspace sites and one day I had the spontaneous feeling I`d like to write a song on it.
I am not very much an adept of paintings at all so I wrote the song as I was able to recognize the paintings.
First impression was when you look closely to the pair of her paintings, your eyes can`t stand still.
There is a constant move of the eyes and you cannot rest in order to get the content of the pictures in total.
So I opened up the song with some vital moving mallets. On the next step,
when you move away from the drawings, they slowly appear to have a structure and warmth.
Having this structure on my mind I started to give the song a structure and embedded the opening mallets into it.
And seeing Sarah on a picture of herself drawing with earphones moved me to some sort of up tempi "happy hour" song structure.
After listening a while to the complete composition I had the feeling I`d like to give her a five minute easy hearted up tempi caffeine when she has the walkman on and is painting.
So nothing really serious about this song, just a song for a friend who impressed me with a vast amount of creativity. Please visit herat her myspace site
and see for yourself what she can give to you and if you are at myspace, write her some nice lines, she deserves it. |
